Please join on Wednesday, Feb 9 for a Zoom club meeting. The Take 5 segment will feature a slide show on Zion Canyon by one of our newer members, Good Webster.

American Photographer, Sam Abell will be our special guest. Sam’s presentation will be on the topic, ‘The Poetic Photo Essay’. This is the title of a new workshop he is currently in the midst of so he will be very fresh on the subject.

In the workshop he will stress that our current era of image over-saturation calls for more eloquent summaries of our work. He proposes that the ideal form to express ourselves today is the poetic form. By that he means he intensely realized six to ten image summaries of projects that are near (and dear) to us. Creating such concise photographic poems is an art that can be taught and learned.

The meeting will start at 7:30 PM however the “Waiting Room” will be open at 7:00 PM for any members who would like to connect early and have an opportunity to visit with fellow members. Guests are always welcome.
