Tonight’s presentation will be Part II of a two part series by nature photographer Ron Long.
Ron had a thirty-six year career as the sciences photographer at Simon Fraser University. Ron had a parallel career as a continuing education photography instructor at Kwantlen University. Now retired Ron travels to nature hot spots around the world.
The Photographing Nature lectures, Part I and Part II bring together Ron’s fifty plus years of experience. Included in the discussion are ideas on the latest equipment, on camera settings, photographic techniques, techniques for approaching wildlife and macro techniques as well as the use of extreme wide angle, long telephoto and macro lenses.
The talks are fully illustrated by Ron’s own work and are intended to provide food for thought for photographers to build on and adapt to their own work.
