Wednesday, April 11 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
This will be a regular club meeting and as usual guests are always welcome. Join us as our own Vlad Jan takes us on a photographic tour of Slovenia, his place of birth, and Croatia.
Slovenia is the greenest place in Europe and offers a wide variety of natural and cultural amenities. There has been no large-scale tourism and no acute environmental pressures. It has a great variety of landscapes, lakes, rivers as well as many geographic zones.
Croatia is famous for their coast, one of the most beautiful in the world. It has over 1000 islands along the coast. A lot of these islands are very different with their architecture as well as geography and climate. One of Vlad’s favourite places is Plitvice Lakes a Unesco designated site. Dubrovnik comes next on his list followed by some of the islands and coastal towns like Split, Zadar and other very unique villages.
English is spoken in both countries so communication is not an issue and according to Vlad both are very safe to visit on your own. The photographic opportunities are endless and Vlad says even if you spent a year there it would not be time enough to capture all these countries have to offer. A good start to appreciating what they have to offer is to join us as Vlad gives us a photographic tour of Slovenia and Croatia.
